I've now listed my wooden blanks for sale in the online shop.
There are a couple of little surprises (products that I'd designed but never got around to releasing), such as this cupcake cutie, which when all prettily painted up, makes a fantastic fridge magnet or card topper!
And to add more bargains into the mix, I'm offering a mixed variety box of wooden blanks with a retail value of at least £30, for only £12.95!
I'll also see about whipping up a couple of little projects, to give you some ideas of the fun things you can create! :)
You can find all the items in the inventory sale here. Note, stock is limited.
Bye for now xx
...where did you spring from so suddenly?!
You know, I should really be cracking on with developing *whispers* Christmas products but I can't bring myself to do it just yet. Most designers probably started work back in May and are finalizing things now... oh, to be that organised...
As you know, I'm slowly discontinuing my wooden range of products but I've decided there's no point in prolonging it - I've now added ALL my wooden products to my sale page where they'll be discontinued and removed from the website at the end of the month. So snap up a bargain while you can!
I hate waste so had planned to sell off any wooden blanks I have leftover after the sale, but rather than waiting until the end of the month, I've decided to go ahead and do this now. So I'll be putting packs of wooden blanks on the website this week. There'll be hearts, stars, my pretty tag shape, plus a few other surprises :) So you can bring out the artist in you and by making your own keepsakes and ornaments!
Next on the horizon, shall be a little re-vamp of the website and blog. Actually - it's a great opportunity for you to give me any feedback about the current website, and I can see about incorporating any improvements with the re-design. So feel free to pop me an email - or you can even use this neat little form on my website.
So go on, what are you waiting for, go check out my sale page!
Bye for now xx
Well, I'm very pleased to say that the weeks in the run up to Father's Day were SUPER busy for me, and the products that were selling, kinda confirmed that the direction I am going in, with my product range is definitely the right one!
If you read my previous post about changes to my product line you'll know that I am gradually phasing out my range of wooden products and keepsakes. Some products were removed from the website at the end of May, and I have just added the following products to my discontinued items page.
** edited to add the following products **
These products are available at a discount ranging from 15-25% for a limited time only. They'll be removed from the website *permanently* at the end of July.
By the way... have you seen that Not On The High Street's summer sale has begun today. You can bag yourself any of my prints at 20% off!
Here's a link to my NOTHS products!
In other news, I also have some lovely brand new, Thank you Teacher cards available, if you fancy a little peek :)
Bye for now xx
Yes! I'm so incredibly excited about the latest things I've been working on!
If you read my last blog post, you'll know that I'm taking my product line in a new direction and am concentrating on designing my original line of art prints. It's so much fun, I tell you!!
I've been sharing some little peeks on my facebook page, so I thought I'd reveal my newest two prints in full, on the blog.
First up, an oh-so-romantic print, perfect for a wedding or anniversary gift, with a beee-autiful sentiment;
Customised with names and a special date, it really is a lovely print.
Printed onto 350gsm fine art, textured cardstock, it's great quality and is available framed or unframed.
The second print, very much plays up to my 'cute' design style. It's a personalised family print with an adorable little family of birds.
The print is customisable to suit however many children are in the family. Here are just a few examples:
I just love the cuteness of this print and it would be a great way of celebrating a new addition to the family.
I'd love to know what you think!
Bye for now,
Over the past six months I have been making some firm decisions about which direction I would like my business to go, in order to really, fully enjoy what I am doing. That's why we creatives choose to work for ourselves, right?
You may have noticed from my more recent product releases and various 'work in progress' shots on facebook and twitter, that I've been concentrating more on greetings cards and prints rather than the wooden keepsakes.
As much as I initially enjoyed designing the wooden keepsakes, which have been the core product line of my business, it is actually the initial design process that I enjoy most, not so much the monotony of painting hundreds of wooden shapes in exactly the same way, over and over again. It has become rather repetitive, so I can't help but feel that my design juices don't get to flow as much as I would like.
I have always said that my products are each made with love and I want to keep it that way. I don't want it to become a tedious process, afterall, my energy goes into the product which then has a place in your home, so it is important to me that it be a positive energy that I am emitting.
So I set myself some fresh challenges to kick start my brain and design skills - and I'm loving it!! My main focus is greetings cards and prints and I have a heap of new designs waiting to be released and I have some other product ideas which I'd like to explore in the future.
So at this point, it is unlikely I will release any new wooden items. This change in direction means I can focus on fresh design and illustration and spend more time doing the creative part - the part that I enjoy - working with different media, fonts, creating colour schemes, turning doodles into art, and generally pushing my creative and design skills.
I will be phasing out the wooden keepsakes from my offering. I aim to do this gradually as I use up remaining stock of wood (I hate waste!). I may actually decide to keep a limited amount of products, but that really remains to be seen, depending on whether I find it an effective use of my time to make them.
The first batch of products I am discontinuing are shown below and will be removed from my shop at the end of May. In the meantime, I have marked them down by 10% :)
I am very excited about my 'design future' and to coincide with the changes of my product line, I also have some re-branding in the pipeline, including a possible name change. I'm really looking forward to implementing all these changes within the website and blog over the summer.
Thanks for reading,
Those of you that follow my facebook page will know that I haven't had the easiest of months, suffering with a very poorly back. It's been extremely frustrating, being that March is my busiest month by far but thankfully, with a lot of help from my beloved and my wonderful family, I'm managing to keep on top of orders in between visits to the chiropractor.
And so, in getting back on track, I have a brand spanking new product line to share with you. I have been designing and planning this new product line for quite some time and launching today, are my first two prints!
These two prints have been designed for mother's day. I had hoped to release them much sooner, but with all that's gone on, I've only managed to do so now - but better late than never and still with just under two weeks to go 'til mother's day - phew!! :)
Printed onto heavyweight (350gsm) fine art, textured cardstock, the prints are A4 and are available framed in a beautiful oak frame or can be purchased unframed (for a less expensive option so you can frame them yourself).
The prints have the option of being truly special with your own personalised message.
Prints are something I've been wanting to offer for the longest time - let's say, I'm just a little bit excited!! I have more fun designs in the pipeline that I look forward to sharing with you :)
You can see more details of my mothers day prints and all the colours available in my shop.
Bye for now,
Hello Friday, I've been waiting for you!
And what a beautifully sunny Friday it is too :) I've been busy in my little studio, thoroughly enjoying the design process, creating my new range of typographical cards. The valentine's cards I released at the beginning of the month proved popular, and so I've been channeling the spring, and am pleased to release some fab new cards for mother's day.
I just love the quirky typographical style of these cards and their sentimental messages. Hand finished with little wooden tokens, they really are something special that you won't see in any high street shop!
No matter how good the quality of a card, there's nothing worse than it being let down by a cheap, thin envelope, right? Fear not friends, I pride myself on the high quality of my products, even down to such details as this. I use luxuriously thick cream envelopes, so as you open the envelope you can feel the great quality before you even see what's inside.
And, not forgetting that I now offer a "cards sent direct" service. So you can have any card sent directly to the recipient with your own message written inside. I offer this service at no extra cost and it's great should you be abroad, or simply short on time and need to get the card sent as quickly as possible.
In other news, have you seen my new stamp set just released by Penny Black; Love Bears?? Perfect timing for the start of wedding season, they'll make lovely congratulations cards!
Have a great weekend everyone, I'm off now to get designing more cards!! :D
With less than TWO WEEKS to go, I have some new valentine's loveliness to share with you. I've been busy designing a new 'typographical' range of cards, which are a little different to my current card offerings.
The cards have been professionally printed onto thick 300gsm silk card, and what makes them that little bit special is, they are finished with pretty little wooden shapes that have been hand painted. Some even have a touch of glitter added for some extra sparkly loveliness...
I'm so thrilled with these cards - and the mother's day and new baby ones that I'll be releasing soon - I just love 'em. In fact, because I'm so darn excited, here's a little sneak peek just to tease you...
What do you think??
In other exciting news... I now offer a "cards sent direct" service at NO EXTRA CHARGE!! :D This means you can choose to have any card sent directly to the recipient with your own message written inside. It's great should you be abroad, or simply short on time and need to get the card sent asap!
Anyway, the sun has popped it's head out this morning, so it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day after all that rain that serenaded me to sleep last night. Have a happy Saturday everyone!
